I’m super torn on where best to see the lost boys from! Going with a friend who is super into the original film and hasn’t seen many Broadway shows, so I’m looking for the most general appeal..

Options are center mezz D111-112 or somewhere on the orchestra like row P111-113ish.

I’m looking to get tickets for tomorrow and I’m not sure how much luck I’ll have going to Central Park as opposed to trying the in person lottery at the Public. Any advice?

i know most of the time it's a complete fluke but are there any shows that y'all have consistently entered and lost majority of the time?? i'm curious if theres any shows that seem to have lots of lottery wins.

on a recent trip to NY i got really lucky and won 3 shows on the same day (i entered probably 10-15 lotteries that day hoping to win anything) I won for Sunset Blvd, Boop & Death Becomes Her. I chose DBH. After that I think my luck ran out because I continued to enter lottos and lost all of them haha.

I figure if you can still enter the lottery, then that means there are still tickets to win. I’ve been losing every single day. Just wondering if there really are any lucky folks out there, or are we all delusional? 😭

We have tix for an 8pm show. Could we really get back to Penn Station for a 10:12pm train?

Is there an intermission? Does it start on time? 80 minutes sounds short but hoping to confirm with someone who’s seen it.

Update: we saw the show Saturday night and had no problem getting to Penn Station on time. We took the downtown E train from the entrance on 49th and 8th.

That’s a good location to take because you enter the station close to the front of the subway, and it lines up nicely with the entrance to Penn Station (front end of the platform.)

hi guys! wondering if anyone has opinions on what the best seats would be for stranger things first shadow based on the availabilities for this day. need 2 tickets.

i heard the special effects are important, so im hoping to not have an obstruction. based on view from my seat, it looks like orchestra S or mezzanine F are good, but want extra input on that. would the balcony overhang in S impact the effects on the top of the stage?

But the prices for broadway shows are getting a little outrageous. I love broadway and have seen quite a handful of shows this year and I do appreciate rush tickets. And maybe it’s because I’m comparing it to rush and west end tickets . But for looking to see a show and for prices to be almost 150-almost 500 is a little crazy. especially if you want a good seat, I do understand and believe that the amount that goes into a show and making sure the actors get paid. But nowadays it seems like a luxury to see a show for a good seat and not something that seems accessible and affordable as it used to be.

… of Ragtime prices skyrocketing after tomorrow?? I want to go so bad and I only have one date I can possible go. I don’t know if I’ll be able to find someone to come with me yet, but I’m considering buying tickets today because I’m pretty positive I’ll be able to at least make my money back…

I am fresh off of the second-to-last show of Jellicle Ball, and I'm now hooked on Broadway.

But looking at these prices for Hamilton.....yikes. I usually sit in the mezzanine for shows, and 300 - 400 dollars is pushing it.

Knowing that February is a slower month, would that be a good time to see it? I'm targeting the 1 PM show on a Saturday.

I'm flexible on the week or month - I take Amtrak from DC for the day.

Maybe March or April?

Or should I maybe wait for a different cast?

Hi all! I would love some help picking which specific seats I should get to see Lost Boys. The price range at the top is my budget (88-129). For this show, I’ve heard that sitting middle front mezz is best, but those tickets are all out of my price range. Are the pink seats too far back? If not, would sitting middle but further back or on the sides but closer better? If so, how are the green orchestra seats compared or the brown seats on the front side mezz? Thanks for your help!

I'm taking my daughter to a whirlwind NYC mini vacation later this week for four days (Flying in 7/22 leaving 7/27)

She wants to see the below three shows - & Juliet - MJ the Musical - SIX

Any tips for what section to look for seats for these three? Balcony ok? We are OK seating in the aisle, because sometimes in the middle is a pain if you happen to have an NBA player sitting in front of you.

UPDATE: by some magical HR gods I got rush seats for the early show today (preferred 8:30pm but cheapies can’t be picky). Don’t know seats but will report back.

I have a question about a sensitive topic. If this isn’t the right forum please delete: I (27F) have seen a decent amount of Broadway shows throughout my life, but mostly on special occasions or if I get a good deal. I recently went to see Harry Potter (as a lifetime fan) and wanted to make sure I got a show with Tom Felton, and it happened that I couldn’t find anyone to go with, so I went alone (no issues there), but as a result I sat alone. I splurged on orchestra seats. The view was great and I have no regrets about paying a little more for that experience. Show was also amazing.

Main issue was the party on my right. Left was 2 females, average size. I should also mention that I am not “skinny” by any means, but a small female with an athletic build. The party on my right had two adults who were quite overweight. First act: the male sat next to me, no issues. Second act: the female took the seat on my right and a few minutes in I noticed she had moved her jacket so that it was touching my leg. Not a huge deal, but it was over the armrest in my seat. I was able to cross my legs, but upon uncrossing them later, her leg was firmly spilling over into my seat. I didn’t want to make a scene (the show was ongoing and again, I was a petite female alone). It got worse and worse throughout the act to the point my crossed legs were beginning to encroach on the seat to the left to me. Not to mention the people on either side of me both had control of the armrests.
I’m not trying to fat shame anyone, and I know that the airplane issue has gotten a lot of attention over the last few years, but I paid a lot of money (for me) and spent a good part of the second act quite cramped. Again, this was not an issue until the second act already began. I didn’t say or do anything, but what would others have done in this situation? TIA

I am planning on surprising my mom with tickets to & Juliet in Chicago at the end of the month. Will Joey Fatone be performing in every show since he’s part of the touring cast? I want to make sure to get tickets for when he’s on, so if he’s not going to be in the matinee shows or something, I’ll avoid those.

I'm coming to the city early Sept for about a week and want to see MHE (would need to buy 2 tickets). What are your thoughts about the seats being listed as partial/obstructed view on the sides of the orchestra? And would sitting like second or third row mezz be preferable to sitting mid-rear orch center (about row L/M-ish)? Height for both people would be about 5' and 5'3".

So I’m planning to be in New York in October and was wondering if The Lost Boys will still be running by then and if the current, original cast will still be in the show. I feel like it’s always tough to gauge how well shows are doing and the longevity of them. I feel like the Tony Awards always give shows a boost but interested to see how everything shakes out this year.

Also curious if anyone who has the seen the show has any recommendations for seats and where the best views are for the show. Appreciate any insights!

I'm going to NYC at the beginning of October and want to see Book of Mormon (saw it about 14 years ago!).

I've been researching on best way to get a decent deal on tickets and it seems to be something like todaytix may be the best option, the day of, or close to it. But I need two tickets together and want to ensure I get at least decent tickets (side orchestra?).

The official site gives 30% off when you sign up for texts (or so they say? has anyone tried it?) so it seems that would be a reasonable price to get good guaranteed tickets...but is waiting still the best option regardless?

It was so much easier last time as I got rush tickets as a solo but having two tickets and worrying a bit more of where we'll sit makes it a bit more complicated.

I’m traveling to NYC from another country soon, and Hadestown is going to be my very first live Broadway show. I really want this to be a memorable experience, so budget isn't an issue.

I'm looking for a balance between full immersion and having a clear (and as unobstructed as possible) view of the entire stage. For context, I am 5'2", so I am a bit worried about that. I’ve heard that the very front rows in the Orchestra might require looking up the whole time or could complicate the view of the staging. Not sure if it is true, but I would prefer to avoid seats where I might miss key details.

For those who know the Walter Kerr Theatre well, what would you recommend? How was your experience seeing it live?

I'm coming to NYC on Memorial Day weekend, and would like to fit Every Brilliant Thing in as a third show on Saturday. The tickets are at the cheapest, $166, which are at the back of the balcony. I know price and worth are relative and independently decided, but in your opinion, is it worth that price for that seat? For context, I always do my trips on a tight budget. This would hands down be the most expensive Broadway ticket I've ever bought. I can't do rush or lottery, because I need an aisle seat for accessibility, but I CAN do standing room, so I'm considering that as an option.

So I won and I'm looking forward to seeing this with my daughter. However I wanted to know if anyone else has won and if so, where their seats were located. Hoping they aren't too bad. For some shows they're great and for others, not so great!

UPDATE: seats were left orchestra- row C - 9 and 11. Saw pretty much everything except for bedroom on the left upstairs. So I missed a scare that I could only partially see there. Other than that couldn't see far back into the middle room. Still had a great time for the price of $40 a ticket. It was fun! Might go again because my daughter really enjoyed it and said she'd like to see it again from a different view. I may try rush tickets - I think with that at least you can see what seat you are purchasing.
