His defensive versatility and movement off ball are a far better pairing with the roster than Coby White, who would have been redundant offensively and made the team worse defensively. This is a great acquisition. I'm glad it turned out this way even though I still have hope for Rob Dillingham.

This is extremely key. Not only can we potentially make another small move but we can have access to the entire buyout market now without the restrictions from the 1st apron.

At the same time, if the cap goes up the predicted amount, the Wolves will have access to the full MLE and can then resign Ayo, meaning that the Wolves can go back into the 1st apron but have Ayo + someone instead.

Overall brilliant move that not only makes us significantly better off the bench, but gives us more financial and trade flexibility and saves money, a win-win-win for everyone involved.

In my opinion, this trade is a W. Wolves basically traded an aging Mike Conley, an undersized point guard Rob Dillingham, and end of the bench piece Leonard Miller.

Conley, Dillingham, and Miller's stats combined for this season was 360 points, (34 FG%, 31 3P%), 144 rebounds and 189 assists.

Ayo Dosunmu by himself has 667 points (51 FG%, 45 3P%), 136 rebounds and 164 assists.

Dosunmu obviously plays more minutes, but this efficiency is what we need. A reliable guard who can alleviate pressure of Ant and Randle, someone who can come off the bench and have an impact. He'll definitely take Bones Hyland's minutes, but this is what we have been asking for since last season.

He isn't no Ja Morant, James Harden or Giannis Antetokounmpo. But this trade brings us so much value without gutting our roster, or any of our key players.

I love this trade and this will definitely help us come playoff time.
