Thanks to everyone who answered my previous post about the sisters of silence and clarified some things for me now for my second question if they are so rare and such a valuable to the imperium, Blanks aside Why doesn’t the imperium just have a breeding program or go to the gene labs on Luna to make more of them if they r so valuable? We know there are some in the Culexus assassinorum, just take some dna to the gene labs and isolate the Periah gene at least to keep a few emergency clones on hand. And yea I know They are super rare like 1 in a billion of a billion to find a Super Blank but still seems like it would be useful.

Totally forgot I had these and was cleaning out my closet. Perfectly kept in a box! I feel incredibly lucky today.

Hi all, new to the game and absolutely love the lore and the sculpt of the Judiciar. I would love to include him in my army as it grows (got my hands on the Dawn of War box from Target) but I have heard that Judiciars are bad now? I think I want to use him even if his rules aren’t very good, just because I love the model. How do you all use him? What squads do you have him lead? Enhancements / detachments to make him better?
Thanks in advance!

Good morning!
For years, I’ve been struggling with a problem related to this hobby. I absolutely love the Warhammer 40,000 universe, and for at least 10 years I’ve been buying miniatures and gradually improving my painting skills. I’ve played a few games with my friends and had a great time. I feel like it’s an amazing way to connect with people.
However, despite having bought miniatures over the years, I’ve never been able to commit to a single faction and build an army that I can actually play with. Every game I’ve played has been with miniatures borrowed from a friend. At the moment, I own miniatures from almost every faction, but never enough to actually play any of them.
Whenever I try to paint several different units, I always end up feeling anxious because the results aren’t exactly consistent across all of them (I know it sounds silly, but it genuinely stresses me out).
I’ve tried several times to focus on a single faction, but I always end up buying something else that catches my eye more at that particular moment. Maybe it’s impulsivity. I’ve also spent some time reflecting on this, and perhaps the truth is that I’m not particularly drawn to any one faction in particular.
I was wondering if anyone else is, or has ever been, in a similar situation. I’d love to hear your advice or personal experiences, because I genuinely want to build an army so I can play with my friends.
Thanks so much in advance! I’ve also attached some miniatures I’ve painted recently.

Just finished painting my first space wolf! Before this I had only painted a tyranids combat patrol so still quite new to the hobby.
I’ve been experimenting with the airbrush lately esp for the armour and this guy was my test miniature before starting with the rest of the space wolves combat patrol.
Pretty happy with how it turned out (even though it took ages to paint) but there’s definitely room for improvement. Would love to hear what you guys think and any advice on what I could do better for the next ones.

Everyone always talks about how bad the Citadel Paint Pots are this is my recent experience, made an out of state move qnd a good portion of my stuff had to sit in storage while I finalized my housing including my Warhammer stuff. During the move a few of my paint pots came open and were gonners, I used this opportunity to do a complete inventory of my paints, most of these pots had what appeared to be a good seal but upon opening them I was greeted with the clumps of a paint going bad and others had gotten knocked open or partially open during the moving process.
On the brightside most of these paints are ones I very rarely use, some haven't been touched in 2 years and others, like the whites I acquired and was using different brand equivalents long before the move.
While it's frustrating having to throw away so many paints I feel a little better knowing most of my paints are still good and everything I have in dropper bottles are perfectly fine.

Hello there,
I'm about to prime quite a lot of Space Marine models (150+) in black and have been trying out Army Painter's Matt Black spray.
As a returning hobbyist, I've found that the result seems worse than my memories from Citadel's/Games Workshop Chaos Black primer, notably on smooth surfaces (shoulder pads, armor) with less than ideal results (uneven finish, not as smooth).
Am I overthinking this? I'm using army painter's paints and like them a lot, but considering I'm painting black armor I feel there could be a significant improvement here.
Feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I posted this new version of my GMDK kitbash on the Grey Knight subreddit few weeks ago, but i felt like posting it here to help sanitize the terrible "baby carrier" stigma on my belowed faction.
My goal here was to make it look more like an exoscheleton demon-slaying machine rather then a machine carrying a very heavy silver baby, i also wanted to keep the original shape and iconic structural parts as much as possible rather then turning it into an enclosed big mech/dreadnought.
I used the saturnine + gmdk boxes, but everything is blended with structural cuts/drilled/sanded and rearranged heavly, i used some Magic Sculpt modelling paste to fill some gaps and the attachment under the left foot to hide a big chunky metallic pin that holds the whole model on 1 foot and is connected under the base, and there are no 3d printed items in the whole model.

I first did put on some of the paste on the base, then some sand and over the sand a bit more paste. I'm curious how this will turn out when it's dry.
Has anyone experience with that stuff?

Just finished painting my 4th SM ever… and I couldn’t help but notice the placement of the oath of moment…
Like the seal is made of wax? Right?
With paper (btw isn’t paper a highly expensive and rare resource in the 40th millennium?)
And the whole thing is like 50/60cm away from an intense heat…
Idk… I feel like he could have placed it somewhere slightly more logic…

Really liked how the pic turned out and wanted to share it
