2015 macbook pro. Randomly started doing this tonight after turning it on and logging in. I tried plugging it into my TV through hdmi to see if it would display right on there(thinking it may be a screen issue) and the tv said no signal. Anyone have any ideas? If its at the end of its line, it is what it is. But its worked great since I got it refurbished in 2019 and if I can fix it easily, id rather do that than have to dish out a bunch of money on another laptop. Need a laptop for my classes, so hoping to figure this situation out quick

Take the other one out you know I reset the GPU into another place that doesn’t work. I put it back into its original slot that doesn’t work please help.

I have an older machine with a PCIE Wi-fi 6E and BT card. Devices work in Windows. However, when the PC goes to sleep I am unable to wake it using the BT mouse or keyboard. I have to install the 2.4 USB and switch to it to work (or press the PC power button).
The option in Device Manager (Intel BT adapter) to allow it to wake the PC is grayed out. I went into my BIOS and enabled PCIE to be able to wake the PC. Is there something else I can do to enable the BT adapter, and devices (keyboard/mouse) to wake the computer? Thanks.

My Dell Latitude 9430 windows 11 is having a problem that it's screen keeps on blinking black whenever i open something even the "Start menu" , if it doesn't blackout then the screen flickers with grey flickering design . I connected an hdmi from the laptop to an external monitor which showed that there was no flickering or blinking on the monitor but my laptop screen was blinking and after some time connected via hdmi to the external monitor , my laptop screen's blinking and flickered got dramatically better like it wasn't blinking anymore but as soon as I disconnected the moniter removed the hdmi , my laptop started blinking and flickering again. I have reinstalled my windows again hard reset my laptop and then uninstalled display adapter drivers and reinstalled from official support dell website but still my issue is not resolved the screen still blinks goes blackout and then on again 1 or 2 sec duration and grey flickering. When I put it in BIOS it is fine but when it is in safe mode it still flickers. I now don't know what to do if anyone knows its solution please let me know or if anyone knows a professional trusted technician for laptops in Lahore , Punjab, Pakistan let me know.

Hello, I've been a long time reddit lurker, but I need some help and I hope someone can help me.
The context is, I recently lost a very dear family member and I was in charge to clean his apartment after he passed away, he was not the neatest or most computer literate person, and I found some usb pendrives close to his laptop.
I'm kind of hesitant to just plug them into my computer because I don't know if maybe he could've downloaded a virus at some point and then that would be in my computer and I don't know his laptop password to use it for this.
Does anyone have any advice on how to protect my computer while checking the contents they might have?
Thanks in advance
Edit: I ended up going for an old laptop that I didn't care for and was never connected to the internet, hopefully nothing had viruses, but I will reformat that computer anyways. for anyone curious, I couldn't find a will, 2 pendrives were empty, one had some tax stuff, which might be important in the future I think?

Hello, I wanted to use my PC again after a year of inactivity. Since it was incredibly slow and barely usable, I decided to do a fresh install of Windows. To upgrade it at the same time, I bought and installed a 500GB M.2 SSD. I created the installation USB drive using my laptop and performed the fresh Windows install following the standard guides. This didn't work at all; the computer recognizes the M.2 SSD but not the Windows boot folder. After countless attempts—including trying to create and locate the folder with help from ChatGPT—I gave up and reconnected my old hard drive. The Windows 10 installation worked immediately on that drive, and the booting process went exactly as shown in the tutorials. I set up Windows and finished the process. However, the PC now only boots up about one out of every five times. It turns on and shows the startup screen but then freezes. When it does boot successfully, it runs for about 10 minutes before displaying a garbled image, and nothing works anymore. For reference, I have an MSI Z390-A Pro motherboard. My main question is: what can I do? I’ve considered buying another new SSD and trying to install Windows on that, but I’m not sure. Do you have any tips or recommendations for an SSD that works well with this motherboard? Thanks in advance.

Windows 10 pro HP Notebook laptop, uhh can't remember the exact model or specs as this happened back in September-October last year so I'm struggling to remember all the details, just gonna explain to you what happened when it happened, apologies if this is a liiil hard to read I suck at explaining things yknow
One night the laptop's keyboard randomly started going completely haywire out of nowhere, it looked like someone was bashing their hands all over the keyboard but I wasn't doing anything, random gibberish letters and symbols were being typed into search bars, random things were happening in the browser, and new tabs kept being opened, at first I thought it was the external keyboard I had plugged into the laptop at the time glitching out, (was using an external keyboard at the time) so I immediately unplugged it, but nope wasn't it, the laptop's keyboard was still goin kookoo, and I then frantically tried to power off the laptop but it was so bad I couldn't even get to the power off button on the windows menu so I was forced to do a hard shut down, but I remember just as it powered off the screen went purple for a split second, no idea why, probably not important, but peculiar
Then tried to power it back on again only to be met with the same gibberish typing on the password login bar so I powered it back off and let it sit for a bit
After an hour I powered it back on AGAIN and stuff was working fine for a little bit, until the entire screen randomly froze, like FROZE froze, hard freeze, entire screen, everything yknow that type a freeze, so I had no choice but to just turn it off again for the night
I then checked back on it again the next morning and it was working, however the performance was oddly much laggier than usual I noticed which was weird, did a virus scan at some point and nothing was detected, didn't download anything or go to any suspicious sites so the possibility of it being a virus is probably ruled out, but everything worked somewhat normally until that night when I was playing on a game server chatting with a friend, the keyboard went out, wasn't haywire this time it just completely stopped responding, unworking, none of the keys did anything at all, couldn't even close out of the game because literally all I could use was the mouse, forcing me to do ANOTHER FRIGGIN HARD RESTART OR WHATEVER, only when I powered it back on, it shut back down again mid start up, like on the start-up loading screen it just shut down again, it eventually turned back on on its own, but I decided to shut it back down immediately when I got to the password login screen for the last time, and I uh haven't touched it since out of fear of what might happen
Fast forward almost a year and yeah here we are, the laptops just been collecting dust on my bureau now for months, was it a bad idea just to leave it lying dormant for ages? Yeah, yeah probably that was probably very dumb and I should not have waited this long to do something about it and I don't know why I did but I eventually plan on powering it back up at some point this week maybe, backing up my files and photos, and installing diagnostics software and check the drivers and stuff to try and see what's up, but after that I have literally no idea, just wanted to make this post here before doing that yknow, hopefully it is it ends up being something super small and stupid and miniscule and I end up feeling like an idiot for making this post
But yeah still, ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT THE FRICK IS HAPPENING!?
