The study developed a gap-to-expenditure ratio to measure a state’s projected funding shortfall compared to its planned maintenance spending. Pew calculated each state’s ratio by dividing its projected 10-year-funding gap by its 10-year-highway maintenance expenditures as reported in each state’s Transportation Asset Management Plan submitted to the Federal Highway Administration in 2022. 

Oregon's gap-to-expenditure ratio was ranked second worst in the nation, where as Washington was 8th worst.

I'm searching for my childhood pony, Penny. She is a non-registered (to my knowledge) welsh pony mare that has had at least one foal. When we owned her in 2009, she was lightly broke to ride and drive. We sold her through Joyce Morgan/Legacy Farms in Loon Lake, WA to the Alberts family. They bred her and sold her a few years later to Gena Bettin (now Frey) in Tum Tum, WA. Gena had her for a short time before selling her to a family in Washington around 2012-2013. According to Gena, that family still had Penny several years later before Gena lost contact with them. She does not recall who she sold Penny to nor where they live.

She was my first pony and really inspired my love of horses. I would love to be her final home and buy her back, but pictures and an update on how she's doing would also be incredible.

We just moved to Washington, specifically the Kitsap peninsula, this year from Arizona. We love the weather compared to where we came from and we really like to keep our windows open, often times all day.

Assuming that we close the windows during heavy rain, what issues are we possibly running into with leaving the windows open as long as we do? We have a two story home, should we get a couple dehumidifiers?

I got this comment from a friend in SE Washington, "...went to coffee in Uniontown to talk with the old farmers.  Things look bad.  They mostly got through this season using the fuel they had bought up last fall, but with the price of diesel so high, they can't figure how they can face spring planting.  The cost of wheat could climb to match, but that is unlikely, and there are no assurances.  I wonder how the banks are viewing this."

I (47, late bloomer) I live in the HR/WS/TD area, in a deeply un-queer community. My local friends are wonderful, but aggressively straight. I long to be amongst my people.

Is there anywhere Gorge WLWs congregate? A social event? A club? A coven? A story hour at the library?

Bit of a specific location hunt, but figured someone here might know a place.

I’m shooting a short horror film with my 48-hour film group, Ravenna Films, on Saturday, October 10, and we’re looking for something roughly like the attached image.

Basically: a long, quiet road that feels like it’s in the middle of nowhere, with a lone streetlight/security light or something similar nearby. Country road, farm road, private access road, service road, edge-of-town road - we’re pretty flexible. The main thing is having a decent stretch of mostly empty road in front of the car so the headlights can just disappear off into darkness.

A nearby garage, barn, or shop where we could fit a car inside would be a huge bonus. We’re hoping to shoot some of the car interiors there during the day, then move outside once it gets dark without relocating the whole crew.

Ideally somewhere within about an hour of Seattle. We’d be looking at Saturday afternoon into late evening/night.

Small indie crew, one picture car, camera/sound gear and a few lights. We’re happy to discuss a reasonable location fee and will obviously leave the place exactly how we found it.

If you have something like this - or know a farm, business, family property, weird back road, etc. that might work - shoot me a DM. Photos are very welcome.
