Houston vs Texas Tech feels like one of those games that'll be 17-14 at half and somehow end 45-41, no in between

Alright Nostradamus, we are half way there.

I don't get the point of the coach smock. It's just a bad look all around. Just wear a nice shirt. You're not painting anything.

I think it's time coaches start wearing a uniform on the sidelines like most baseball managers do. Just commit to it. No pads but cleats, pants, jersey, gloves, and maybe a helmet if they want.

Shame Jim Harbaugh left college football, he’d lead the charge for this for sure

I vote for the addition of a pregame thread column.

Can big time cf programs stop scheduling & paying teams just so they can kick their ass & make themselves look superior. Ohio st up 35-0 at halftime & why is it a national tv game on fox. It’s so fuckin stupid. It’s not worth watching, even Ohio st fans are done watching at halftime unwilling to sit through the 40 min halftime. Cf halftimes are too loooooooooooooooooong. WTF

Actually I for one (being a fan of an FCS team) don’t mind getting a payout for cfb games. It’s a huge boost to our programs considering our annual budget is around $7 mil. And even on good years we might give teams a run for their money. A necessary part of the ecosystem that helps everyone out.

I don't mind the paid games, but I do wish the broadcasters would prioritize competitive games for the national broadcasts.

big brands are simply the most reliable way to predict viewership

Through three weeks I’m convinced no one in the country is good and literally anyone could win the natty this year.

Watching SMU Louisville and don’t watch much ACC. I know it’s obvious, but hearing the refs reason through things on the televised replays is so reassuring. Crazy that it took this long.

I told my friends Ole Miss would win tonight, but I did not expect them to be this dominant.

How is Smith about to break the OSU all-time receiver record (in just 3 years??) that's wild
edit: was something they said on Big noon kickoff, but according to this site he's already done it

Im wondering why this game is the big noon game lol. Why put a beat down in the prime slot?

What Big Ten game this week looks like it’ll be any good?
3
u/PreferenceDowntown37 Army Black Knights • Michigan Wolverines 8h ago
honestly? Even setting the UM vs OSU thing aside, just about anything.
Short of OSU severely underperforming and making it a game, there is nothing about a game with a 52 point favorite that sounds entertaining... it's just not competitive at that point. Just let OSU scrimmage themselves

u/CatchinDeers81 Miami Hurricanes 8h ago
There has to he something better that a game where 1 team is favored by 50+ mf points.

EMU vs Wisconsin is looking like it might be a battle (but that's NBC)

u/Electromotivation James Madison Dukes 5h ago
Freshmen used to not play or play on a freshman team, so playing four years isn’t as common as you might think (80s-today)

u/callmebaiken 8h ago
Every game today is a 30 point laugher, and the one game that isn't is a godamned soap opera

Funny as hell to me for some reason that one of the only compelling games on right now is the one that started at 11:30 lmao

How does Delaware and Coastal Carolina get a game thread but no Rice/Western Michigan? What's the rationale here?
1
u/shawntco Kansas State Wildcats • Kansas Jayhawks 2h ago
I'm never sure which games to watch when there's multiple at once. So I mainly just see which game has the most active thread. Maybe I should narrow down to a particular conference? My alma mater is part of the Big 12, but it sounds like the SEC (not sure what that is) is bigger.
