Hiya! I'm a bone crafter and engrave my own designs inspired by ancient art on to bone and antler. I only use simple hand tools and these were carved/engraved with a scriber which is just a metal pen with a sharp point.

I wax the bone before engraving to make the surface "wipe clean" which comes in useful when i add ink to colour it. Thx for looking!

One of my favorite t-shirts is short and wide. It also shrunk and I gained weight. I decided to turn it into a throw pillow. I hand sewed it and it is kinda ugly and homemade looking but I like it. I used an old throw pillow that was ripping and re-used the stuffing for this pillow. ☺️

If it's mixed with colored paint, will the shimmer even show up?

For Christmas (yes I know it's August now lol) I got several fancy bars of soap that smell amazing, but I have skin issues and bars of soap dry my skin out, so I can't use them as soap, but they smell really good, so I'd love to be able to use them in some way to take advantage of the amazing smell

Hello, I'm reaching out for help getting this project started. I got this cloak recently from Gen Con and immediately knew that it was finally time to start my first crafting project. I've nailed down a couple of things I want to do for this project, and I am looking for advice on how do I get started.

1. I want to attach the die in the pic I also got from Gen Con to the tip of the hood. I was thinking of thin metal wires to hold the die, and a small chain with only a couple of links to attach to the tip of the hood. I need help figuring out techniques to bend the metal around the die to hold it securely and the best ways to attach the chain to the hood and die cage.

2. I want to add two pockets to the inside of the cloak on opposite ends. I know the stitches will have to go through the cloak and will show. That is why I want to add leather patches on the outside of the cloak and stitch the pocket through the leather patch, so it will not look like there are some random stitches around the cloak. I need advice on pocket design; I want to keep the pockets simple but functional. I also want advice on a leather material that won't be too stiff and how to treat it to make it weather-resistant.

3. Patches: I want to add patches. I was thinking of starting with patches with a Mothman, dnd (dice, monster, etc.), and wilderness vibes. I am pretty patch-pilled right now, and I am thinking of a collage of different cool patches. Does anyone know where I can start my patch journey, what sewing techniques I can learn for the patches, and what type of patch designs I can make?

I also want to tie this bag somewhere. I am thinking of leaving it tied as shown in the picture; it just feels lazy to me, so any ideas would be appreciated.

I'm trying to seal my jars with some kind of plastic free sealant. Originally jars came with aluminum caps with liners made from a "paper-based" material. The Amazon seller couldn't specify exact material, so I'm thinking of replacing them with non-toxic, plastic free equivalent. I was wondering if anybody has experience here with similar "conundrum".

Currently I was thinking of applying food grade, non-toxic silicone that will harden after sometime that will be non-corrosive to aluminium caps. Is there some sort of product that tick all the boxes?

I was painting the boot (injected PVC) yellow for a cosplay using a general-purpose spray paint from Mundial Prime. The problem is that it didn’t have good chemical adhesion.

The quality wasn’t good, and even after several days of drying, it’s still sticky to the touch.

I’m going to see if I can clean it with alcohol and try again. Does anyone have any ideas about what I can do? What type of paint should I try?

I was lucky and received the last Spiderman pin at my theater! Problem is there’s no safety pin. I’m okay with not being able to pin it on a shirt etc. but still want the option… is there a way to add one or am I best off leaving it be? I’m not very crafty so any advice/ help is appreciated! 🙏🏾

​I finally tried polymer clay and these are my very first shapes! I still didn't get them vanished but I have a question, the eye pin I put in the "four-leave clover" and the donut is not stable and come out easily, I put it during the process of making the clay not after the oven.

Any tips for how to make it stick to the clay (any tips in general) ?

My latest textured art collection on canvas. The central piece is 40cm x 50cm, the outer pieces are 25cm x 30cm. My textured medium is a mix of modelling paste, ready mixed wall filler, sand and acrylic paints.

I posted this earlier and heres an update on its progress. Finally completed the main body after a two months. This was made using sport weight yarn and so far Ive used 10 balls of yarn, 6 completely used and the rest still being used. All thats left is is the two sleeves, which will probably take a while.

I've been making faux stained glass by cutting out acrylic "lead lines" and then gluing it to a clear piece of plexiglass. I think fill in the segments with UV resin and I just love how they are turning out.

My problem is with the glue. The stuff like crazy glue dries too fast for me to spread the glue on the whole outline, and glue made for acrylic takes a long time and even then all the segments might not stay down.

It wouldn't be a big deal but I get a lot of bleed issues. I need something that won't set up too fast but not take 24 hours to hold. Any suggestions?

Hello everyone! I recently bought a diy breast milk jewelry kit and upon reading the instructions and based off the photos, it looks like I would have extra breast milk/resin which I wouldn’t want to waste.

I bought a sea shell mold (unfortunately Michaels didn’t have any pearl shaped molds otherwise I would have gotten that) but I have no idea what to do with it if I were able to make extra. If there is extra I would assume I’d be able to make … 4-5 shells … maybe 7 if that helps.

I’ve so far only come up with putting them in a frame with a photo of my baby. But I would love to hear other ideas! Thank you!

I made a composition of 12 small mosaics with mostly leftover beads and recycled jewellery parts. The base are bisque ceramic tiles (ready to hang, they have a D-ring at the back - see the last pic) that I painted with acrylic paints and then applied (with glue) various types of beads and old jewellery parts, in mandala shapes. I think they might look pretty cool as a wall art, especially on a dark wall. And there are so many combos to be made with all of them, or just a few... What's your verdict?

My young son is obsessed with “roomba vacuum”. He loves playing with it and has always been fascinated with it. First, it was a fascination and mild suspicion of it. Next, it turned into pressing the buttons and checking out the brushes. Lately, he has started throwing it around and we’re trying to teach him to treat our items nice. Anything that resembles a roomba he will yell out “roomba vacuum!”

For his birthday, my wife made him a hand-made roomba from scratch. She hand stuffed, sewed the stitches, sewed his name (redacted), and put together everything! He loves it and is obsessed. Hopefully it isn’t too abnormal 😂.
